Acqua di Bergamotto by Ermenegildo Zegna has a composition that opens with sparkling notes of Italian citruses with dominant bergamot while refreshing floral-herbal notes characteristic of South Italian coast. The freshness of the composition is provided by salty notes of the sea water and sea air, making the composition a true summer edition perfect for relaxation. The citrusy-marine composition stays true to tradition of the house of Zegna, and is characteristic for its elegant, contemporary style.

The fragrance arrives in glass, transparent flacon as 125 ml Eau de Toilette. Acqua di Bergamotto was launched in 2015.

Acqua di Bergamotto is the second bergamot perfume now by Zegna, alongside Italian Bergamot. Both are packaged in identical bottles although the Acqua has not quite the finishing details missing the plastic pedestal of the base that is on the earlier more exclusive bottles. Acqua di Bergamotto Acqua di Bergamotto is a fresh bergamot scent that is lighter, more lively and has a fresher base than Zegna Italian Bergamot fragrance which predates this one by a few years.

The bergamot in the top note (which is reportedly grown and harvested on the Zegna estate in Calabria) is a lovely natural-smelling sharp citrus. This fresh, invigorating blast is beautiful but all too fleeting. In the next (and final) phase, a wonderfully pleasing soapy vetiver takes over – soft and creamy, with a barbershop vibe that remains the same for the duration. Sillage is moderate; projection stays fairly close, finally becoming more of a skin scent. It is a skillfully blended fragrance, made with very high quality, natural ingredients – a calming scent that would make a refined and sophisticated choice to wear for dressier outings in the heat of summer.
